Our Origin Story
It all started with our dog named Ziggy.
In 2019 my family adopted Ziggy, who turned out to be very picky with food and treats.
After few trips to the vet, we also learned that he has a sensitive stomach. I decided to address Ziggy's struggles, starting with his diet and experimenting in our kitchen.
Aha, ferment!
I love all kinds of fermented foods, from enjoying kimchi everyday to baking sourdough bread weekly.
Knowing that fermented foods are great for gut health, I developed a winning dog treat recipe using sourdough starter and launched SourDog in fall 2022.
(Btw this is me with Korean green plum which are traditionally fermented in onggis!)
